Riku Rimpelä is CEO and co-founder of the Finnish company Trainesense Ltd.

 

Trainesense has developed SmartPaddle, a power meter for swimming.  SmartPaddle was born after Microsoft closed down the smartphone development in Finland. This opened the opportunity for Riku & Co. to apply the professional competences into personal interest on sport and swimming coaching. His hard working and curious nature has helped in asking the correct questions and finding the answers during the development. During the last half a year SmartPaddle has started providing answers to some of the hidden mysteries of swimming, and as we still soon see, is only the tip of the iceberg.
